Our Process

Thermal Cycling is a patent pending technology applied to brakes to increase life expectancy on police and sheriff vehicles, school buses, garbage trucks, and other utility vehicles. Fleet vehicles are a major service delivery component and being able to extend brake life 2 to 4 times, while reducing swerve and skid and even eliminating ”fade” in high stress braking, can save lives, reduce costs and free up money for other vital functions. The green savings to the economy in terms of less energy consumption in mining and manufacturing are enormous.

Metal Fatigue occurs when metals undergo stress as part of their daily use. The greater the load on metal, caused by use or fluctuating environmental conditions, the greater the fatigue and the sooner the eventual failure. Since “failure” is not an option for any Department of Transportation, Thermal Balance Brakes has an effective patented and patent pending technology that will guarantee a better performing, safer, and less costly brake product.

In summary, Thermal Cycling:

  • Optimizes the molecular particulate structure of materials
  • Is not a surface treatment, application, or coating
  • Enhances the material throughout, and cannot wear off
  • Does not alter the appearance or coloration of materials
  • Cannot be applied unevenly
  • Does not require secondary processes to be effective
  • Does not alter the dimensions of materials or components
  • Improves other dipping and coating-type processes
  • Improves the yield strength, reduces breakage
  • Reduces wear, extends life
  • Significantly reduces harmonic amplification (Vibration)
  • Improves heat conduction for better distribution & cooling
  • Relieves stresses inherent in forged or cast materials
  • Enhances corrosion and chemical resistance
  • Will substantially extend the life of Instrument trays and Containers
  • Will substantially reduce maintenance and repair costs
